Mothers Day Cards

Mothers Day is this coming Sunday here in the UK.

Here are my cards using patterned papers by Hot off the Press & flower templates by Inspire me!


Each flower has six layers with a brad through the centre. I sanded the edges of all the papers to give a shabby distressed look.


For the finishing touch, I wrapped white organza ribbon around the card & tied a bow.

Collage Obsession

This digital piece is for the challenge on Collage Obsession. We were given a beautiful image of Dorothy Lamour to work with this week (click here to view).


I used the French Revolution Paper Making Kit by Sande Krieger. The only addition was the butterfly silhouette which is my own image.

I is for Image

This is my inchie for letter I of the Inchy by Inch Alphabet challenge.


The image is from Crafty Computer Paper & the words are torn from an old English Dictionary.


The image was printed on white card & adhered to a mountboard base. The edges were sanded. The dictionary words were inked with Distress Ink (antique linen) & then added to the inchie.

Birthday Card

H is for Handmade

G is for Glitter

Week seven of the Inchie Alphabet challenge has arrived at Inchy by Inch, so we are on letter G.

F is for Fashion

We are in week six of the inchie alphabet challenge at Inchy by Inch so we are on letter F.

Be my Valentine

A Valentines Day card using papers & elements from the Cupid collection by Betsy Tuma & the stitching element from She's No Spring Chicken by The Queen of Quirk. Both are digital kits available at Two Peas in a Bucket.


The design was created digitally then printed out on linen effect white paper. An extra heart shape was printed, cut out & edged with black ink & coated with clear glaze. Once dried, it was attached with 3d foam.


I added a hint of sparkle from my clear stardust pen by Sakura.


White organza ribbon was wrapped around the card & tied with a bow, as the finishing touch.

Will you be my Sweetheart?

An altered cd made with Valentines Day in mind.

I used patterned paper designed by Vanessa Arbuthnott

for The English Paper Company to cover the cd.

I sanded the edges to reveal the white core & to add a little shabby style.

Heart shapes were cut out of the papers using heart shaped cookie cutters as templates.

Again, I sanded the edges & layered them using Pinflair Glue Gel.

Fibres were wrapped around the hearts to give added texture & softness to the project.

I added adhesive pearl gems & words torn from an old dictionary.

I punched a hole through the top using a Crop-a-dile punch

& tied a loop with pale pink organza ribbon.

E is for Embroidery
