So Weary

Week 21 in my
Mellow Kraft
Journal
.

The journal prompt this week
from France Papillon was
One Routine.

Her prompt was about
adding one routine to your day
to help make it perfect.

I am currently taking part in
the 100 Days Project,
so the new daily routine is to make
a collage piece each & every day.

I selected one of my altered playing cards
from the last seven days
as inspiration for my page.

You can see the original here.

I have found myself very weary this week.

The current situation is taking it's toll.

There is no end in sight.

But spending a few minutes each day,
to be focused on my project,
helps lift my spirits.

I am following the rules
by staying at home,
relying on the postal service
to make important deliveries.

I used patterned paper
from Glenda Waterworth,
Life's Journey Pansy patterned paper
from K & Company,
design tape & paper doll by Tim Holtz,
photo corners by Paperchase,
words cut from an old novel,
a dictionary definition,
a label image
from Joseph Cornell,
 printed text
& doodles with
a black Posca paint pen.

A Perfect Day

Week 20 in my
Mellow Kraft
Journal
.

The journal prompt this week
from France Papillon was
Perfect Day.

With two family birthdays this week,
my perfect day would be
to spend the day with them &
to go out somewhere special to celebrate ...

Sadly that is not possible
& it is hard to see a time in the future
when we will be able to ...

for hidden notes.

Life is not the same
& will never be again.

Give Thanks Every Day

Week 19 in my
Mellow Kraft
Journal
.

This week we started a new month.

Which means we also started a new theme
of France Papillon's journal prompts.

This month the prompts will be about
Daily Life,
beginning with our
current situation.

Remembering to be mindful,
to practice daily gratitude
& wash my hands.

Is anyone else suffering from dry, cracked
& sore hands from washing their hands so much?

Still I am grateful for fresh running water
& soap to clean them.

My word for this month is
yugen.

I used a remnant rub & design tape
by Tim Holtz,
patterned paper
from Glenda Waterworth,
butterfly & calendar images
from the Graphics Fairy,
a label image from Joseph Cornell,
words cut from an old novel,
a word definition torn from an old dictionary,
photo corners from Paperchase,
a Sakura Pigma Micron pen
& printed text.
