A Shower of Flowers

For this month's collage challenge set by Mary Green at Green Paper,
I opted to do a digital collage.

In addition to the three images provided by Mary (see here),

I added an image from Mary's French Dictionary Map collection
together with a torn cardboard image of my own.

The coupon I have used as Washi tape holding the photo & altered calendar in place.

Building sandcastles

It's been such a long while since I spent time on a scrapbook page,
but today I was inspired by the challenge on Shabby Shoppe.

The challenge was to use their easy-as-pie layered digital template.

I used elements from their Sun Porch & Vintage Florals collections.

Green Paper Challenge: Natural Beauty

This project uses the three vintage images given to us by Mary Green
at Green Paper for her monthly collage challenge.

You can see the original images here.

There was some digital tweaking, before the images were printed out
to be used on the media base.

The back, as ever, is as important as the front.

The butterfly was shaped & adhered using Pinflair Gel Glue to add dimension.

The butterfly image can be found at The Vintage Moth.

I used moss & ivory twisted cord by Three Kings Ribbon from Joanna Sheen.

It has been a while since Mary has been able to host a challenge & I thoroughly enjoyed it.

All in a pickle ...

This is a digital journal page using Craft Artist software by Serif & two images from Dover.

With no user manual or guide provided, you learn just by "playing around".

An interesting concept & frustrating at times, but I am already falling in love with it.

Texture Tuesday

The Texture Tuesday challenge this week is to use a photograph of a person or people
& at least one layer of Kim's textures.

I used one layer of Kim's Warm Sun texture
& compose a Haiku for added visual & contextual interest.

Please click on the image to enlarge & you'll see all the wonderful detail of Kim's texture.

The original black & white photograph is from the 1960s.
And yes, it is me! I'm never happier than when I'm near the sea.
