The Paris Index Card Collection

Another yearly collage challenge
that I am belatedly joining in with
is hosted by the Paris Collage Collective

My substrate for this challenge
will be index cards,
together with the challenge image provided.

If you are on Instagram
you can follow the challenge hashtag to see
the collages from all the participants.

Week 1

Late Again

Week 2

Follow the Signs

Week 3

Rising Star

Week 4

Free your Mind

I have used collage paper from
the Collage_This 01 publication

I debated with myself
whether to add a week number
to each index card &
finally decided to print some numbers out
to add to the collages that I had already made.

I think I made the right choice.

follow an additional,
yet optional, prompt.

If you are on Instagram,
you can follow the challenge hashtag to see
the collages from all the participants.

Week 1

The first card picked was the 8 of Clubs.

Week 2

The card picked was the 5 of Diamonds
& the prompt was Stripe.

Stand Tall

Week 3

The card picked was the 9 of Diamonds
& the prompt was Catch.

The Juggler

Week 4

& the prompt was Waiting.

Wanderlust 2022

For 2022 I have enrolled in the
Wanderlust art journal course
for another year.

The course is run by Everything Art.

The course this year is also
based around materials,
rather than themed,
which appealed to me.

This will be my fifth year,
but last year I fell behind
& have yet to complete the lessons.

To help me this year,
I have made a small junk journal
made from an old book,
with old book pages,
some printed papers
& even fabric.

There are three signatures,
with pages no larger than 4 x 6 inches.

I am hoping that starting each week
with a smaller page,
a page that is already imperfect,
will help me to not be too precious
about whatever I create.

I have chosen a word for the year
& using a background image from
have created the first page
in my little junk journal.
