Artful Memories 2026

The Artful Memories Challenge is a yearly event
organised by Jane Chipp & Jack Ravi.

This year there were just ten prompts
so I continued using my square journal
which I had started for Februllage 2026.

Using the prompts,
I composed a unique Haiku,
then created my collage.

PROMPT ONE
Elodie kept a drawer full of keys that opened nothing we will ever know.

PROMPT TWO
Against all the odds, Hannah led the way.

PROMPT THREE
Tomas, the museum guard, swore the statues shifted at night.

PROMPT FOUR
Clara pressed seeds into the cracks of the pavement, certain that patience was stronger than stone.

PROMPT FIVE
Asha wore her grandmother's perfume to feel less alone in a foreign city.

PROMPT SIX
Safiya watched as more lights appeared, until the darkness had nowhere left to live.

PROMPT SEVEN
Henrik built small boats and set them free in puddles after a storm.

PROMPT EIGHT
Lior planted a sunflower wherever he hoped to return.

PROMPT NINE
Farid began choosing silence, and discovered it had been waiting for him.

PROMPT TEN
Each morning, Arun added another small stone, until the river quietly chose a different way.

I used collage material from
Contemporary Collage Magazine
with images, wash tape & rub-ons
from Tim Holtz.
