With love ...

A birthday card using decoupage designed by TC Chiu from a collection entitled Country Cottage, available from Joanna Sheen.

Each layer was cut out & their edges gently sanded before being assembled using Pinflair Glue Gel, which is silicon free & dries clear.

The decoupaged image was adhered to backing paper by K & Company from their K-ology Peabody range sadly now discontinued.

I added a few pale pink pearls.

For the finishing touch, I added white organza ribbon tied in a bow.

And now for something completely different ...

... a dip into my Zentangle Moleskine.

And a sampler of other doodles.

What do you deduce from it?

Yesterday I blogged a digital piece which asked whether you saw what you were looking for.

So what did you see? What could you see? Was it all a jumble of images, confusing to the eye, abrasive to your senses? Did you find it intriguing?

The printed version allows my camera to seek out & clarify the different elements.

Say it with flowers

A greeting card using decoupage
designed by TC Chiu
from a collection entitled Country Cottage,
available from Joanna Sheen.

The backing paper,
designed by Vanessa Arbuthnott,
is by The English Paper Company.

I lightly sanded the edges
before assembling the decoupage layers
using Pinflair Gel Glue
(a dimensional non-silicon glue).

I added organza ribbon tied in a bow.

Journal Notebook

I often have ideas that I like to jot down,
so I have made this ATC sized notebook,
ready to pop into my handbag & carry with me,
so can doodle, jot & scribble ideas down when I am away from home.

I designed a simple pattern for the mountboard covers.

The hole reinforcers are small circles cut from paper from
Life's Journey Ruler Collection by K & Company.

The pages inside are Daler Rowney 150 gsm smooth cartridge paper.

I stamped various Non Sequitur images
& words from 7 Gypsies using Archival Ink (Jet Black).

The butterfly digital image is available from Dover.

I have inserted a tabbed page halfway.

On the evidence pages are pieces of Trendy Tape by Queen & Co,
so that I can attach gathered evidence such as receipts or tickets.

A couple of silver book rings & a little dotted organza ribbon
(by Three Kings Ribbon from Joanna Sheen) finish the project off.
