Golden Buttercups

Week 26 in my mixed media collage journal,
inspired by the current Wanderlust theme of
Floral
with inspiration from poet
Elizabeth Jennings.


betwixt the dainty daisies
see the buttercups staring at the sun
richly coated in bright gold
reflecting the wealthy light
glowing as if lit from within



I used Daler-Rowney Gesso Primer,
Faber-Castell watercolour pencils,
old images from Percy & Bloom,
a Cicely Mary Barker image
(cut out from an old book),
gold leaf applied over Sakura Quickie Glue,
Tim Holtz Distress Marker,
Tim Holtz Design Tape
& printed text.
