Movie Star

The new inchie challenge theme on Inchy by Inch is Stars.

This is probably not what Fiona had in mind, but I have been inching, I mean itching to use this stamp from Paper Artsy on another project.

The base is an inch square of white mountboard, stamped with the words from the rubber stamp (Movie Star). The base was edged with black ink & then covered in a piece of acetate coloured with alcohol inks.

The embellishments were made from shrink plastic (using the same stamp), edged with my Krylon 18ct gold leafing pen for that little bit of glitz & glam. I punched a hole & set an eyelet using my crop-a-dile. I attached the star word using gold metallic thread.

I love the dimensionality of this piece & the touch of turquoise.

  1. is that really an inchie daisy? it's fab xx

  2. LOL

Yes it is just an inch Fifi.

It seems the smaller the project the bigger the photo is :o)

  3. Fabulous inchy Daisy - I love the way you've taken the theme and made it your own. Great idea! x

  4. It's lovely and yes the turquoise makes it zing.

  5. I love your take on the theme. It's certainly star related so why not? Did you punch the hole in the shrink plastic after it was shrunk down or did you punch a bigger hole before hand?

  6. Thank you for your comments.

Surprisingly, the hole was punched after it was shrunk using a Crop-a-dile, keeping away from the edges, which is easier said than done due to it's size!

But it meant the eyelet fitted perfectly :o)

  7. Brilliant inchie Daisy! Do I spy some alcohol inks too?! xx

  8. Yes, alcohol inks were on the piece of acetate - a scrap saved from an earlier project.

Don't you just love inchies :o)

  9. Funny, I almost used the same stamp Daisy! But you have made a wonderful job as usual - it is amazing what you can achieve on such as small canvas!

  10. Absolutely Brilliant!! ♥

Never underestimate the power of an inch!!! It's amazing what you do with such a tiny space...well done you xx

  11. Great - glamourous inchy.

  12. Beautiful daisy. All that work on something so small! Well done you!
