Februllage 2025 Week One

It's been a few years since I last took part in the yearly Februllage event.

        Februllage is organised jointly by
    Edinburgh Collage Collective
    & Scandinavian Collage Museum.

        Each day throughout February
there is a different word prompt
     to inspire your collage.

This year I am working on an old set of playing cards.

My aim is to complete a collage a day,
        concentrating on the process,
        rather than the result.

Day 1: Trees

Day 2: Shell

Day 3: School

Day 4: Dice

Day 5: Chaos

Day 6: Metal

Day 7: Neighbourhood

Care December 2024

I took part in the Care December event again this year,
hosted by Kasia at Everything Art.

I made a journal with just enough pages for the fifteen prompts.

The theme this time was
PINK.

So glad that I made time on each of the fifteen days
to take a moment for myself.

Even though I began on 20th December,
every day I spent a few precious moments
to consider the daily prompt
& make a collage in my handmade journal.

I included papers from members of my family
to make this year's event extra special.

Blurring the Lines Collage

A quick analogue collage for the
10 Layer Collage Challenge
with Contemporary Collage Magazine.

The challenge as usual,
create a collage only using the imagery provided.

The substrate is leftover 2mm thick greyboard from
their Vintage Magazine Collage Challenge,
so it measures 21cm x 14.7cm.

It will be interesting to see the variety of collages produced
as everyone taking part will be working with the same ten images,
the resulting collages being either analogue or digital.

Collage_This Journal 2024

I have been using a kraft paper journal
to work with collage material from
Contemporary Collage Magazine.

Each page is 14x14 centimetres.

I had seven pages left in my journal
so I amalgamated the remaining Collage_This
material to create a series of seven collages.

There is still plenty of collage material left
so I will now add this to other material from
Contemporary Collage Magazine
and begin a new project.

Collage_This 5

Contemporary Collage Magazine publish a limited number
of these challenge booklets with each new edition.

They are sent around the world to 150 collage artists,
with the aim to see how varied the resulting collages are
using identical collage material.

Following on from Edition 4,
I continued to make a series of collages
in my kraft journal.

Each page is 14x14 centimetres.
