Viva España

The challenge theme on Make a Moo or Two is
Spain.

I made another Moo for my European Cities collection.

I used a photograph from a visit to Seville.

I inverted the image of the Catedral de Sevilla Giralda tower
& added words that evoked memories of the trip.

The image was printed out on photographic paper.

After adding to a mountboard base, the edges were sanded.

Funky Mother

A Mothers Day card inspired by Anice,
using her Huge Funky Love Word Book download.

But, as Anice knows, I have a habit of tweaking her colours,
so instead of pinks & browns, I have blues & lilacs.

I also used pale lilac organza ribbon,
two large lilac eyelets,
Bazzill card,
a butterfly image from Dover
(again with the colour tweaked to match the papers),
twisted silver wire
& a few heart shapes (punched from the leftover paper).

Oh, & not forgetting a little black ink!

Sweet Dreams

My inchie for this week is using the image from this week's craft challenge at Art Creations Friday.

The image was reduced in size to fit the inch square & printed on photographic paper. I sanded the edges to age the image & layered it on printed backing paper, vellum & the word, which was a scrap from an old project.

Just a couple of glitter circles to finish.

Birthday Wishes

A card made for my Great Aunt who will be celebrating her 98th birthday.

The papers are from the Shabby Princess Spontaneous Delight range.

I have used white glitter card, Distress Ink (peeled paint), silver Stickles, organza ribbon & some pale blue gems to finish.

Follow your heart ...

A card made to enclose a gift to a friend.

I used the wonderful background from the previous Art Creations Friday challenge, printed on linen effect paper, mounted on textured white Bazzill card & then gold mirror card.

The rubber stamps are by Catslife Press (text) & Crafty Individuals (heart).

Just playing around

The new challenge theme on Make a Moo or Two is
Playing Cards.

I painted the mountboard bases with acrylic paint, layering with alternate colours.

Once thoroughly dry, I sanded them back to reveal the other colour.

The images are from a copyright free graphics cd

Feeling Blue

The challenge for Art Creations Friday was to use the background provided.

I used it to make two tags (2½ x 5 inches).
The image was printed on linen effect white paper
& adhered to a mountboard base.
The edges were sanded to & a hole punched in the top.

I made hole protectors from off cuts of the paper
using a circle paper punch & my Crop-a-dile.

The flower was also cut from the paper
& adhered to Adhesive Cotton Fabric sheet from Crafty Computer Paper (now Homecrafts)

This gave the flower strength so that I could manipulate the shape with an embossing tool.

The swirly stamp is by Anna Griffin,
stamped in clear Versamark & heat embossed in gold.

Other elements included clear & gold Accent Beads,
buttons sewn with blue & gold metallic thread, blue glitter gems,
art glitter (Old Gold & Crystal) & ribbon.

The bottom was edged with old lace.

For one day only ...

The new inchie challenge theme set by Freebird Sings on Inchy by Inch is Leadership.

The mountboard base was covered in paper from an old envelope, the image is from art-e-zine & the goldtone crown charm from Scrapz.

Did she or didn't she?

The challenge theme this week on Make a Moo or Two is
Marie-Antoinette.

I have no images or rubber stamps of this famous Queen of France,
so I have taken a liberty with speculation that at one time,
when the poverty stricken people of France could no longer afford to buy bread
due to a flour shortage, she said "Well then, let them eat cake instead".

So here is my Moo, again celebrating the first anniversary of Make a Moo.

There was a prize on offer for last week's Make a Moo or Two challenge
& I found out today that I have won a set of Minicards from Moo
so to celebrate I decided to decorate my cake!

The icing is Liquid Pearls (White Opal) by Ranger
& the sweets are Crystal Sticker Pearls.

Delicious!

This child's birthday card uses elements & patterned paper by Papermania. The base is made from white Soft Touch card from Inspire me.

I added some pale green grosgrain ribbon to finish.

Va va voom again

The base of this birthday card is Bright Red Soft Touch card from Inspire me.

The car image is from Crafty Computer Paper, with the colour altered to match the backing card colours.

I added three red eyelets & a few clear gem stones.

My Vintage Rose

The inchie challenge theme on Inchy by Inch is Roses.

The mountboard base was covered in patterned paper designed by Vanessa Arbuthnott for The English Paper Company. The rose image is from the Graphics Fairy, printed out twice so it could be layered. The word Doo-dad is by Tim.

The edges of the inchie & images were inked with Distress Ink (peeled paint).

Number One

The challenge theme this week on Make a Moo or Two is the number
one.

The challenge site is a year old this week.

It is such a well run challenge site,
with great themes set each week & fabulous examples to inspire.

The challenge entries may differ in their technique, style & content,
but they are always beautiful.

So "Thank you & congratulations" to the Make a Moo or Two challenge team
& a "Thank you" to the participants.

Here is my entry for this week's theme.

I created a background using the word One in the languages of the participants.

This was printed on white card & adhered to a mountboard base.

I coated it with clear gesso, then sanded the edges.

The two butterflies are images from Dover Publications,
but I have altered the colour,
printed them on white card, cut them out & edged them with black ink.

The No. 1 are grungeboard elements coloured with acrylic paint.

I added a touch of blue satin ribbon,
doodles using a white opaque pen
& a fine tipped black pen.
