As I am working in an art journal,
I wanted to make the focus of my page about art
& why it is so important to me.


I used a Tim Holtz Paper Doll,
a butterfly image
from the Graphics Fairy,
torn dictionary paper,
words cut from an old novel,
printed text &
K-ology Hannah patterned paper.


I used
a white Posca paint pen,
black Sakura Pigma Micron pen,
photo corners by Paperchase,
& washi tape.

I chose to use a quotation by William Morris.

I found the poem this week on display
in a hospital waiting room,
on a noticeboard about memory loss.

from this week's Waitrose & Partners
Weekend newspaper.

The illustrations are by
Ann Edwards.


Change is something that is inevitable
& whilst it may not always be welcome,
it should never be feared.

The Kindness of Strangers

I am working in a small Black Cloth Hardback Sketchbook
by Seawhite of Brighton.
