Be Kind
Lesson 6 in my
Lessons for Life
collage journal.
be kind
Act with kindness
to everyone you meet,
including yourself.
The Garden Gate card was given to me
on the occasion of my 18th birthday
by my sister.
I used old birthday cards,
squared paper,
photo corners
& printed text.

Lessons for Life Journal
2019 is a year of
rediscovery.
I am going through years of accumulated stuff,
deciding what to keep,
what to recycle &
what to throw away.
I have been rather sentimental in keeping things
that really, I no longer need to hold on to.
The process so far has been interesting,
surprising & freeing.
However I wanted to use some of the lovely cards
I have been sent over the years.
So, I took an old book,
ripped out the pages.
Then I recovered it.
Added in some loose pages.
It will be somewhere to play with collage,
with no theme or challenges to steer me,
just me with my own thoughts,
letting the words & pages come together,
as I sit quietly in my art space.
I know it will become a journal
I will treasure.
