With love ...

So the dilemma was what to make my Father for Father's Day this year. I thought long & hard without any inspiration, then it hit me. D'oh! So here it is.

I added a greeting onto my digital collage (full details of which can be seen here) & printed it onto canvas textured acrylic paper (300gsm).

The collage shows my Father's father, together with his two brothers & his parents (my Father's Uncles & Grandparents). It also includes his handwriting & signature on a postcard to his Mother.

After edging with my Krylon 18ct gold leafing pen, it was mounted first onto vellum, then gold mirror card before adding to the base white card.

I added three different coloured organza ribbons (green, gold & blue) to pick out the colours in the collage.

A very personal card just for my Father.

Sleepy Head

The challenge this week on Artarazzi was to use the image provided in our artwork.

I have used a photograph I took last June as the background, added the altered image of the tired child & an owl saying ...

Time for bed Sleepy head

Here is my digital art journal page for this project.

Rather belatedly,
here is my digital art journal page for this project.

Understanding yourself

This is a digital collage using all the elements provided by Nancy Baumiller for the Crowabout Challenge. This digital collage is all about understanding yourself.

The character in our collage has written a book about her affliction,
entitled "Why does this keep happening to me - A true story about Myself".

She describes in moving detail the events leading up to her notoriety
as America's most unique tourist attraction
due to her ability to turn blue whenever she goes swimming.

Despite the increasing media attention, she tries to lead a normal life
& loves to go shopping at the renown Stand department store.

All the images from week 39 collage sheet are included in some shape or form. There were no additions.

Sisters

A digital scrapbook page for a forum challenge, where we had to

* use two shades of a chosen colour
* patterned paper
* buttons
* circles

I chose brown as my colour & used an old family photograph to create my page.

I used the Harvest Spice range from Shabby Princess & added the butterfly image from my own source.

She loved butterflies

The challenge this week on Art Creations Friday was to use the beautiful image provided.

Here is my digital collage.

And my digital art journal page for this project showing the elements used to create it which are my own, with the exception of the background image from the week 8 challenge.

Old Fashioned Sweetheart

This is a digital collage using all the elements provided by Nancy Baumiller for the Crowabout Challenge.

I went for a sepia toned collage to try to blend the many elements together into one cohesive piece.

It developed itself into a frame from an old film with the rabbit as the audience, who gave his stamp of approval.

All the images from week 31 collage sheet are included in some shape or form. There are no additions to this collage.

Come to the Circus

This is a digital collage using all the elements provided by Nancy Baumiller for the Crowabout Challenge.

All the images from week 33 collage sheet are included in some shape or form. The only addition to this collage is the wording,

"Roll up Roll up"

Acrobats, trapeze artists & clowns rolling around,
bringing smiles to the audiences faces at the Rio Brothers Circus.

Secrets of the Sea

This is a digital collage using all the elements provided by Nancy Baumiller for the Crowabout Challenge.

All the images from week 34 collage sheet are included in some shape or form. Additions to this collage include an image of water to help blend two of the images provided & the wording

"The sea holds many secrets" ... so they say

And it does, from things still hidden in it's depths
to precious memories of days gone by.
