Visual Evidence

This is a digital collage using all the elements provided by Nancy Baumiller for the Crowabout Challenge.

Lucy loved flying & especially wing walking just as the sun was beginning to set.
Although her dog Spot thought this was a very stupid idea.
Why couldn't she sit inside the plane like everyone else?
The visual evidence was the effect it had on her face,
blown by the wind, battered by the elements.
Her favourite hat protected her hair, but what was it doing to her facial features?

All the images from week 42 collage sheet are included in some shape or form. The only addition to this collage was Spot's photo frame.

Blue Days

The challenge this week on Artarazzi was to use the image provided in our digital artwork. As the image was quite small to work with, I duplicated it to create a background.

Some days are just blue days

True Love

A wedding anniversary card for my parents, made using a decoupage sheet by Anita.

Each layer was cut out, edged with Distress Ink (walnut stain) & the layers were built up using transparent adhesive squares by Stick it! There are up to nine layers in places.

The base yellow card is made from Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock from their Whitewash Collection, which has a canvas texture. The decoupage was mounted onto a strip of another colour (pink) & I sanded the edges to reveal more of the core colour.

I added pearls, some lace & buttons sewn with metallic thread (Light Silver).

Betty's Altered Dream Club

This is a digital collage using all the elements provided by Nancy Baumiller for the Crowabout Challenge.

Betty lead a quiet life, quite boring, dull & grey in fact,
but when she went to sleep she dreamt in vivid colours
of adventures & all kinds of strange things.

She usually had dreams about her two loves;
her dream man that she hoped she would some day meet
& her prize cow, Lizzy.
Once she even dreamt that her man had arrived,
flown in on his cowplane!!

All the images from week 41 collage sheet are included in some shape or form. There were no additions to this collage.

Camouflage

The third challenge over on The Three Muses is on the Theme of Wild Things.

I have done a digital piece for the challenge.

Two butterflies, three dragonflies, two wild cats, wild plants (ivy & ferns) & a frog! Can you see them all or are they too well camouflaged?

Here is my digital art journal page for this project.

Something different

The challenge on Artarazzi this week was to use the photograph provided, which I did to create the background for my digital piece. Something a little bit different to the norm.

Things are not always as they seem

The Adventures of Dot & Art

This is a digital collage using all the elements provided by Nancy Baumiller for the Crowabout Challenge.

Arthur & Dorothy had always dreamt of visiting Mexico,
with it's exotic colours, smells & tastes.

They hatched a plan & stowed away in the back of a limo,
which crossed the border & took them on an adventure of a lifetime.

They had their photograph taken with locals & fellow tourists
to show their friends back home & caught fish for their tea.

They loved every minute of their trip.

All the images from week 24 collage sheet are included in some shape or form. There were no additions to this collage.

Daisy Birthday Card

A birthday card made for my Uncle, using one of my own photographs.

The reworked image was mounted on gold mirror card & patterned card from Hot Off The Press, with brown spotty ribbon as the finishing touch.

It was finally mounted onto the base card, which was made from cream Soft Touch card from Inspire me!

Here is the original photograph.

Ouch!

This is a digital collage using all the elements provided by Nancy Baumiller for the Crowabout Challenge.

Poor Desire!
She had been stung so many times by the wasp,
that her face had swollen & gone lumpy.
She itched so much that she was really frustrated.

It didn't help when people took the Mickey!

"I'm never wearing this floral blouse again!" she exclaimed.

All the images from week 25 collage sheet are included in some shape or form. There were no additions to the collage.

Choice

This is a digital collage using all the elements provided by Nancy Baumiller for the Crowabout Challenge.

A collage about the choices in life; good or evil, safety or adventure.
The heavenly one believed that she should be good & play it safe in life.

Her alter ego yearned for fun & adventure, risk & excitement,
trying new things & exploring new places,
being brave & baring her soul.

All the images from week 28 collage sheet are included in some shape or form. There were no additions to this collage.

My Secret Garden

Today sees the start of The Three Muses second challenge. Their theme this week is Door.

I have created a digital collage, showing that my door leads to ...

My secret garden

Here is my digital art journal page for this piece, which shows that with the exception of one, all the elements come from photographs I have taken myself. To see the detail, please click on the image to see a larger version.

Animal Magic

This is a digital collage using all the elements provided by Nancy Baumiller for the Crowabout Challenge.

Trudy had always been able to communicate with animals,
who loved her dearly in return.
From her early days playing with ducks at the pond
& then raising her own chickens,
she had much success & found it very rewarding.

However, as she got older & her interest in men developed,
she was surprised to find that her natural talent failed her.
Even her dog, Bess found it hard to understand what men wanted.
And why was it she was always ignored when hailing a cab?

Life, which once seemed simple, was now difficult & confusing.

All the images from week 27 collage sheet are included in some shape or form. Additions to this collage are the words
"She had always had a way with animals, but men were a different matter!"

Tea Dance

This is a digital collage using all the elements provided by Nancy Baumiller for the Crowabout Challenge.

It's two in the afternoon.
Time for tea, just for two.
Time for a dance.
There was nothing they liked more than a whirl around the floor,
then to rest with a refreshing cup of tea.

All the images from week 26 collage sheet are included in some shape or form. There were no additions to this collage.

Orange & Lilac Combo

A birthday card using orange & lilac tones.

The butterfly is from Dover
& the patterned paper is from Funky Fairy.

Both have had their original colours altered.

The base card is cream soft touch card by Inspire me!

I mounted the patterned paper on pale orange textured card then lilac card.

The layered butterfly is secured with a lilac brad
& I have added some small lilac glittery gems.

There's a Flower within my heart

This digital collage is a blend of two challenges. On Artarazzi we were given a photograph to use & for the Soartful Saturday challenge we were given a gorgeous background to use.

There's a flower within my heart

I added the sheet music to the song "Daisy Daisy" & two images created from my own photographs.

Here is my digital art journal page for this collage.

Acting Up

This is a digital collage using all the elements provided by Nancy Baumiller for the Crowabout Challenge.

Honey had received a note from her agent, sent by Air Mail,
saying that she had been successful at her last audition
& secured her first acting job.

She loved to perform so was highly delighted at this news.

To celebrate, Honey & her friend decided to put on a spur of the moment performance
outside the entrance to the Odd Moments Museum,
which she thought was rather apt!

All the images from week 40 collage sheet are included in some shape or form. There were no additions to this collage sheet this week.

Carol's Life

This is a digital collage using all the elements provided by Nancy Baumiller for the Crowabout Challenge.

Carol had many roles in her life as wife & mother,
keeping the home clean, doing the grocery shopping, caring for her son &
her part-time job as story writer for "The Many Adventures of Lenny" comic strip.

On those rare occasions when she was able to, Carol loved to go to Las Vegas,
where she could let her hair down at the Club So-Ho.

All the images from week 30 collage sheet are included in some shape or form. There were no additions to this collage.
